The Arosa Alpine Club reception is at your service 24 hours a day. Whether you have questions about your stay or need help during your vacation, we’re always there for you.

Our lobby, with its cosy wooden fireplace, invites you to relax with a hot drink and enjoy the miracle of winter. In our library, you’ll find the perfect place to read in peace, while the smoking lounge offers you a breathtaking view of the Hörnli.

Arrivals and departures are possible every day (except in high season). Check-in is from 3:00 pm, check-out until 11:00 am. If you wish, you can also book an early check-in or late check-out (against payment and subject to availability).

For your arrival by car, free outdoor parking is available. Underground parking spaces can be reserved against payment and subject to availability.

If you’re arriving by train, we’ll be happy to arrange a shuttle service to and from Arosa station. Please let us know your arrival and departure times so that we can book the shuttle for you.

What’s more, you can buy your one-day (or multi-day) ski pass directly from us at the hotel at a reduced rate at reception.

For events and meetings, we’ll be happy to put our facilities for up to 100 people at your disposal.

Please note that pets are not allowed on our premises and all rooms are non-smoking.

AGB’s:

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the legal relationship between guests, hereinafter referred to as hosts, and Clubhotel Schweiz GmbH as operator of the Arosa Alpine Club, hereinafter referred to as the hotel. For the sake of simplicity, these GTC always refer to a contract – irrespective of the service concerned. The contracting parties are the customer and the hotel. Should individual provisions of these GTC be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the contract and the remaining provisions of the GTC.

The court of Arosa (canton of Graubünden) shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from this contract, insofar as no other legally binding jurisdiction exists. All contracts, reservations and any supplementary agreements, as well as the general terms and conditions, are governed exclusively by Swiss law. Place of performance and payment is Arosa.

The contract for the rental of rooms and other premises within the hotel, as well as outdoor areas forming part of the hotel grounds, as well as the purchase of other deliveries and services, is concluded with the written confirmation of the customer. Electronically transmitted documents, such as e-mails and online-generated forms, are also regarded as written confirmations.

Reservations made orally or in writing on the day of arrival are binding upon acceptance by the hotel and cannot be cancelled.

Changes to the contract are binding on the hotel only after written confirmation. Unilateral modifications or additions to the contract by the guest are without effect.

The subletting and subsequent rental of the rooms made available, and their use for purposes other than accommodation, require the prior written consent of the hotel.

The scope of contractual services is determined by the individual reservation made and confirmed by the guest.

Subject to other contractual agreements, the guest has no right to a specific room.

If, despite a confirmed reservation, no room is available at the hotel, the hotel must inform the customer in good time and offer an equivalent replacement in a geographically nearby hotel of comparable or higher category. Any additional costs for the replacement room will be borne by the hotel. If the customer refuses the replacement room, the hotel must immediately refund any services already provided by the customer (e.g. deposits). The guest has no further rights.

Subject to other agreements, the guest has the right to use the rented rooms from 3 p.m. on the agreed day of arrival. Check-in is possible until 10 pm. Similarly, subject to other agreements, the rented premises and occupied parking spaces must be vacated by 11 a.m on the day of departure.

Option dates are binding for both parties. After expiry of the unused option period, the hotel may dispose of the optioned rooms without further notice.

Prices quoted by the hotel are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include the statutory value-added tax.

Any increase in statutory taxes after conclusion of the contract will be charged to the customer.

Prices quoted in foreign currencies are indicative values and are invoiced at the current rate. Valid prices are those confirmed by the hotel.

Prices may be modified by the hotel if the customer subsequently requests changes to the number of rooms booked, the hotel’s services or the length of the customer’s stay.

The hotel may require a deposit or advance payment of the full amount of the reservation. If the deposit or advance payment is not made on time, the hotel may immediately cancel the contract (including all promised services) (without notice) and charge a cancellation fee.

The final invoice includes the agreed price, plus any additional amounts due to extra services provided by the hotel to the customer and/or accompanying persons. Subject to other agreements, the final invoice must be paid in Swiss francs at the latest at check-out on the day of departure, in cash or by accepted debit or credit card.

Cancellation of a booking by the customer before the date indicated in the booking confirmation is free of charge. In the event of cancellation after this date, the price agreed for the entire stay will be charged. In the event of late arrival, early departure or no-show, the hotel is entitled to charge 100% of all services booked.

We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.

In the event of cancellation, late arrival or early departure, the hotel will endeavor to allocate unused services to other persons. Insofar as the hotel can otherwise provide the cancelled services to third parties during the agreed period, the customer’s cancellation fee will be reduced by the amount paid by these third parties for the cancelled service.

Insofar as the guest’s right to cancel without charge has been agreed in writing within a specific period, the hotel is entitled to cancel the contract within this period. In addition, the hotel is entitled to terminate the contract at any time with immediate effect for objectively justified reasons, by means of an immediate unilateral declaration in writing. Objectively justified reasons include, for example

– failure to provide an agreed advance payment or guarantee within the period specified by the hotel;

– force major (in accordance with Art. 119 CO) or other circumstances beyond the hotel’s control which objectively render performance of the contract impossible;

– rooms or premises booked or used under misleading or false indications, e.g. concerning the person of the customer or the purpose of the use or stay;

– the hotel has good reason to believe that the use of the agreed services may harm the smooth running of the business, the safety or well-being of other hotel guests or the hotel’s reputation;

– the customer has become insolvent (bankruptcy or unsuccessful seizure) or has ceased payments;

– the purpose or reason for the stay is contrary to the law.

The above list is not exhaustive. In the event of justified withdrawal by the hotel, the customer is not entitled to claim damages, and the compensation for the services booked remains due in principle.

If, in the event of force major (flooding, avalanches, road closures, earthquakes, etc.), the guest cannot arrive or cannot arrive in time, he/she is not obliged to pay the agreed compensation for the days missed. The guest must prove the impossibility of arrival. However, the obligation to pay for the booked stay is revived as soon as it is possible to arrive.

The hotel room is reserved exclusively for the registered guest(s). The provision of the room to a third party or its use by an additional person requires the written authorization of the hotel.

By entering into a contract, the guest acquires the right to the usual use of the rented rooms and hotel facilities by all booked persons, which are usually and without special conditions accessible to guests for their use, as well as to the usual service.

The room key issued by the hotel remains the property of the hotel and allows access to the hotel 24 hours a day. Lost keys must be reported immediately to reception. The guest will be charged CHF 30 for the loss of the key.

The hotel provides guests with free Internet access (WLAN). The guest is responsible for the use of connection data. He/she is responsible for any misuse or illegal behavior when using the Internet.

Smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel (except in the smoking lounge).

If the guest is unable to leave the hotel on the day of departure because all departure options are blocked or unusable due to unforeseeable exceptional circumstances (e.g. extreme snowfall, flooding, etc.), the contract is automatically extended at the previous conditions for the duration of the departure impossibility.

Personal items are left in the rooms or on the hotel premises at the customer’s risk. The hotel assumes no obligation of supervision or conservation. The hotel declines all responsibility for loss or damage to brought items, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional fault on the part of the hotel. It is the customer’s responsibility to insure any items brought in. If valuables such as jewelry, cash or securities are not handed over to the hotel for safekeeping, the hotel’s liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. The hotel recommends that money and valuables are always kept in the safe at reception.

The hotel is not liable to the guest for slight or moderate negligence within the limits of the law, and is only liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

Should any disruptions or defects occur in the hotel’s services, the hotel will endeavor to remedy the situation upon direct notification by the guest. If the guest fails to notify the hotel of a defect in good time, he/she is not entitled to a reduction in the contractually agreed price.

The hotel is not liable in any way whatsoever for services which it has merely provided to the guest.

The guest shall be liable to the hotel for all damage and loss caused by him/herself, his/her companions or auxiliaries, without the hotel having to prove fault on the part of the guest.

The guest is liable to third parties for services and expenses incurred by the hotel.

If a third party makes a reservation on behalf of the guest, he/she is liable to the hotel as principal, jointly and severally with the guest, for all obligations arising from the contract. Irrespective of this, each customer is obliged to provide the guest with all information relating to the booking, including these general terms and conditions.

If a guest becomes ill while staying at the hotel, the hotel will notify a doctor at the guest’s request. If the guest is no longer able to act and the hotel is aware of the illness, the notification is made by the hotel.

In all cases, medical care is at the guest’s expense.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

Lost and found will be forwarded at a later date if ownership is clearly established and the home or office address is known. The cost and risk of return shipment are borne by the guest.

If the guest requires services that are not provided by the hotel itself, the hotel acts solely as an intermediary.

The statutory limitation periods apply. Insofar as these may be modified, an absolute limitation period of 6 months after departure applies to the guest’s claims for damages.

Advertisements in the media (such as newspapers, radio, television, internet) referring to events organized at the hotel, with or without the use of the unchanged company logo, require the prior written consent of the hotel.

Our services are provided within the limits of available capacity.

For reasons of hygiene, it is forbidden to bring your own food into the hotel rooms.

Our gastronomic offer is available to you at any time.
